You will have the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of subjects such as the dramatic Shropshire hills, woodland and moorland with its rocky outcrops, abandoned quarries and Victorian industrial buildings. You will see why the diversity of the landscape in this area makes it a favourite with photographers from around the world
you will not only learn to shoot perfect landscapes, but how to adjust your camera settings and become a more accomplished landscape photographer
This Landscape Photography workshop has been designed to offer you the opportunity to explore & capture this beautiful area, with the potential to return home with a superb collection of quality photographs.
Your course will start with the emphasis on the technical side of landscape photography.
You will learn how to set up your digital SLR so that it is working to its full potential.
You will be shown how to take full control of your camera and equipment to consistently get the results you want!
You will learn how to focus the image correctly and understand the use of depth of field. Understand the use of the histogram, to obtain the correct exposure levels to record shadow and highlight detail.
I will also demonstrate the use of filters, including neutral density graduated filters & the polariser.
The course will also concentrate on your creative skills and how you can develop strong landscape images that are unique to you. We will discuss when & where to take photographs and what makes a great landscape image. We will work on composition skills and discover the basic ingredients of good landscape photography.
By the end of the course you will be confident in using your camera's full manual controls and putting all your new skills into practice. You will have the ingredients necessary to build your own style and a portfolio of stunning landscape images. But most of all you may have found a new way to enjoy your hobby and passion for photography.
You will be in the company of others who share the same enthusiasm as you. As on all our courses and workshops the atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly. We do our very best to provide you with a most enjoyable experience.

Payment in full is required for a Workshop or Course description of one day or less at the time of booking and must be be paid online or sent with a completed booking form. ??
Any cancellation by the client must be made in writing, The date on which the letter is received by us will determine the cancellation charges applicable. Less than 4 weeks to departure point 100%: (no refund given).Between 4 weeks to 8 weeks before departure date 75% . Over 8 weeks notice Full refund excluding deposit. These charges are expressed as a percentage of the total tour price, ?
The receipt of a deposit does not imply acceptance of a booking. We will confirm our acceptance of your booking in writing, and it is at the time we send out this confirmation that a contract comes into existence between us. An administration charge of £25 will be made for alterations or amendments to a booking. The transfer of a booking from one tour to another, if made more than 4 weeks days prior to departure, will also incur a fee of £25. The intention to transfer should be notified in writing, At 4 weeks or less before departure cancellation fees will also apply (see clause 3 above). ?
Go Explore Photography and Mr Garreth Anderson reserves the right to alter or cancel any Workshop or course. Should an alteration or cancellation become necessary, Due to poor weather or reasons beyond our control. you will then have the choice of taking an alternative dates
Under booking if the situation in which the minimum number of bookings required to run a tour is not met, and if we have to cancel a tour for this reason, we will not do so less than 24 hours prior to the start time of the course or workshop. Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions. Alternative dates will be offered. ?
In the event of the specified tutor being unable to attend due to illness or other circumstances beyond our control, another tour leader will be provided. If this is not possible, then the holiday will be cancelled and a full refund will be given ?
We reserve the right to change any of the prices, service or other particulars contained on this website at any time before we enter into contract with you. If there is any change, we will notify you before we enter into such contract. ?
If you have special dietary or other requests, you should inform us of these prior to departure. We will advise the relevant supplier of your requirements, but we cannot guarantee that such requests will be met, and will have no liability to you if such requests are not met. ?
The type of workshops & Courses we offer requires flexibility and must allow for alternatives. For this reason the outline itinerary and description must be taken as an indication of what may take place on the workshop or course, and not as a contractual obligation on the part of the company. ?
Go Explore Photography and Garreth Anderson does not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services through weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods or sickness. Such losses or additional expenses are the responsibility of the passenger. ?
Go Explore Photography and Garreth Anderson accepts responsibility for acts and /or omissions of its employees (whilst acting in the course of their employment). The Company does not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the booking form, unless arising from the negligent act and/or omission of the Company’s employees (whilst acting in the course of their employment). Any claims shall be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the English courts. ?
The client must communicate any perceived failure in the performance of this contract on the spot to the tour leader thus giving the tour leader the opportunity to achieve a satisfactory solution. Should this not be possible, you should make your complaint known to us in writing within 28 days of the completion of the holiday. ?
It is a term of the contract between us that you will obtain the appropriate travel insurance cover before you set out on the holiday (whether abroad or in this country). The insurance must cover the loss, expenses and damages arising from, including but not limited to, the cancellation of the holiday (whether in whole or in part), personal accident and injury, medical and repatriation costs (for overseas holidays), loss of baggage and personal money and belongings and flight cancellations and delays. ?
For overseas and international travel All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and all visas, permits and certificates, including medical certificates required for the whole of the journey and the client accepts responsibility for obtaining the same. All information and advice given by us on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment etc is given in good faith. ?
In the unlikely event that we become unable to provide a significant proportion of the services you have booked after you depart, we will make alternative arrangements for you at no extra charge, or if this is impossible, we will provide you with transport back to the point of departure from your holiday destination, and a pro rata refund for the cost of the remainder of your holiday. In addition, if appropriate, we will pay you compensation of an amount which is reasonable taking into account the circumstances, and which is not covered by the terms of your own travel insurance as per clause 16 above. ?
